Lawyers of the Alarius Bar Association defended the accused in criminal proceedings, within which he was charged with a criminal offense provided for by the first part of Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
In the course of the defense, the team of AO Alarius ensured proper representation of the client's interests, which made it possible to reach an agreement between the accused and the prosecutor to plead guilty.
Given that the sanction of Part 1 of Art. 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a period of 10 to 12 years with possible confiscation of property, court approval of the agreement was important for the formation of punishment. According to the results of the trial, the court imposed a sentence on the accused in the form of three years imprisonment with the application of the provisions of Articles 69 and 75 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — releasing him from serving a sentence with a probationary period of one year, without confiscation of property.
Within the framework of the agreement, the accused undertook to transfer UAH 500,000 to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The obtained result confirms the high level of professional training of Alarius lawyers and their ability to provide effective and legal protection of clients' interests in criminal proceedings of increased complexity.
