On August 19, 2026, the Art Ukraine Gallery contemporary art space hosted a professional meeting Alarius Legal Art Breakfast: The Art of Building and Protecting Business, organized by the Alarius Law Firm with the support of media partners — Yurydychna Praktyka publishing house and the Association of Ukrainian Corporate Advisors (AUCA).
The event brought together business owners and co-owners, top managers, in-house counsel, compliance and corporate security specialists, as well as representatives from the development, industrial, and investment sectors.
Before the business session began, the gallery's founder, Nataliya Zabolotna, gave guests a tour of the space, sharing the history of Art Ukraine Gallery and the contemporary art exhibitions on display.
The event was moderated by Viktor Surnyk, attorney and managing partner at Alarius Law Firm.
Oleksandr Martyniuk, attorney, advisor at Alarius Law Firm, and co-chair of the AUCA Corporate and Employment Board, addressed the topic of corporate fraud: the primary forms of abuse by directors, shareholders, and employees, indicators of internal risks, and practical protection tools — ranging from limiting executive authority to shareholder agreements.
Anna Nestor, a lawyer in the criminal law and business defense practice at Alarius Law Firm, discussed the limits of personal liability for directors and officials, as well as how a company should respond in the event of a search, document seizure, or asset freeze.
Snizhana Vasylieva, a lawyer in the land and real estate practice at Alarius Law Firm, drew participants' attention to the legal risks associated with land assets in corporate deals and M&A, as well as how to properly conduct due diligence on a company's land assets before entering into agreements.
Guests had the opportunity not only to hear from the experts but also to ask questions during the Q&A session, network over a business breakfast, and take a short tour of the contemporary art gallery. The event concluded with networking among business and legal community representatives.
